Wallace Thoroughbreds Ltd is the trading and racing entity for the Wallace Family one of the longest established families in the Thoroughbred Racing Industry in New Zealand. Bruce Wallace, the Director of Wallace Thoroughbreds Ltd is the third generation to hold a Public A Trainers Licence and is a member of the Auckland Racing Club.  With multiple properties in close proximity to Auckland and the International Airport Wallace Thoroughbreds has the ability to provide and service overseas Clients needs and adapt to their requirements.

Wallace Thoroughbreds provides a full range of training services for the thoroughbred racing sector including the purchase of race horses and yearlings for international clients and companies.

By purchasing and pre-training horses in New Zealand international clients can ensure the quality of horses purchased ensuring that they meet and are suitable for the intended marked prior to export.  They are also able to take advantage of significant industry experience and know how in the New Zealand domestic market and the comparatively low cost to get horses to a racing level.

Wallace Thoroughbreds has an international client base with clients in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Macau.

Its stables are located within twenty of the Auckland International Airport and five minutes from the New Zealand Bloodstock Sales complex.

In addition to New Zealand Bruce has trained and selected horses that have successfully raced in Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia including:

  • Why Be (Singapore Champion Sprinter at two, three and four). Winner of 21 races including the 2007 Lion City Cup G1
  • It Has To Be You 2013 Winner of the Group 1 Hong Kong Classic

o    King’ Seal (twice Malaysian Horse Of The Year)

o    Big Easy (Winner of 2005 Raffles Cup G1 and 2004/05 Singapore 3yo Horse of the year
